Lagos (Lakes)

The Aisen region is covered with an infinite number of lakes and ponds. Most of the Regions largest fish live in here as well. Some of our favorites are the following:

Lago Elizalde

Lago Elizalde is a large lake about 17 miles long. It is nestled beneath several glacier-capped peaks. Both rainbow and brown trout live in these waters and are susceptible to both dry flies and streamers. Fish from 17-22 inches are common with opportunities for fish two feet or better.

Lagos Desierto y Azul

Both the Desert Lake, or Lago Desierto, and the Blue Lake, Lago Azul, lie at the head of the Rio Paloma. Here we fish to cruising browns between 17-22 inches in search of bait fish and terrestrials in crystal blue water.

Lagos Frio, Pollux y Castor

These beautiful lakes all rest within fifteen minutes to the lodge. Lagos Pollux and Frio are homes to only resident rainbows famous for their size and fierce fighting abilities. We have taken fish up to 27 inches here and heard rumors of monsters over 30.
